We all need a little motivation sometimes. These are some of the best I have found so far. Warning: If you watch all of these you will be motivated to do something. Last time I watched some of these I went for a run and thought about new projects. Proceed at your own benefit.

Inch by Inch

Al Pacino’s Inch By Inch speech from Any Given Sunday. This might relate to football, but it relates to life too. You have to move forward and fight for each step you take. There are going to be things that try to stop you, but you keep moving inch by inch.

Last Lecture

This is the famous last lecture by Randy Pausch. Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months. On the stage that day, Randy was youthful, energetic, handsome, often cheerfully, darkly funny. He seemed invincible. But this was a brief moment, as he himself acknowledged.

Michael Jordon

This commercial from Nike shows the failures of Michael Jordan. Failure doesn’t mean the end. Michael Jordan couldn’t even make the varsity as a sophomore at Laney High School in Wilmington, N.C. He failed many times, but he is able to succeed because he has the courage to fail. He is far from a failure in his sport now.

Unity is Strength

This is a video about a boy that tries to move a tree out of the way because no one else will do it. He inspires others around him and soon everyone joins in the effort. Their strength lies in their unity.

Team Hoyt

I have no idea how this can be done. The father and son compete in a triathlon, but the son had birth complications and is unable to walk or talk. The father carries him through the whole race of 26.2 miles of running, 112 miles of bicycling and 2.4 miles of swimming. I wanted to get out and exercise after watching this.

Johnny the bagger

This is motivational because it shows that you can make a difference. You might only be a bagger but you have the ability to inspire others and help those around you.

Free Hugs

I have always wanted to try this. This video shows the start of the campaign. By the end of the video you really want to give someone a hug.
